The Hyundai DHY8000SELR diesel generator is the long-running version of the DHY8000SE. Powered by a 4-stroke, air-cooled D452 Hyundai diesel engine, the DHY8000SELR has a maximum output of 6kW. It features the same AVR alternator which produces clean energy. Although it won’t be able to run everything it allows more essential home items to continue running in the event of a power cut when the National Grid fails.
Extra long run 30-liter fuel tank meaning, increased operation hours and less frequent refuelling. Ideally suited for standby use for your home and small businesses, when you rely on electricity to function this unit is a well priced and reliable necessity.
To use the DHY8000SELR to its full potential, making use of the ATS port is recommended. Having the generator connected to an ATS means the generator will turn on and connect automatically if mains power fails and will also turn off when mains is restored, kit (ATS) This will only work with our "KiT" that includes a Digital signal receiver to allow the generator to pick up the signal from the ATS to turn on and off. meaning you can continue as normal without any inconvenience during a power cut..
With the AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) alternator the DHY8000 can be used to power delicate electronics such as computers, the output of the generator will be smooth and stable with no sharp spikes or surges from the output.
Using as little as 1 litre of diesel (red or white diesel) an hour this silenced generator is an extremely cost-efficient way of keeping you, your family, and even a small business functioning. Fitted with a low oil pressure sensor as standard means the unit will stop automatically if the engine oil level drops.

The DHY8000SELR is fitted with an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) controlled alternator to maintain voltage as near to 230v as possible.
Please be advised that other non AVR alternators have a large fluctuation in voltage and can damage sensitive electronic equipment. If you require a portable generator to replicate the mains supply, it is recommended that a pure sine wave inverter generator is used.

Hyundai Power Equipment portfolio began in in 2009 with petrol and diesel generators. In 2013 they introduced their range of petrol powered garden machinery to the UK, and since then Hyundai have built up a reputation with both domestic and professional users for their high quality, affordable products.
In 2015 Hyundai brought out their first 36v battery-powered garden machinery range. This battery-powered range includes a lawn mower, grass trimmer, hedge trimmer, pole saw and a chainsaw. All five products provide safe, clean and very green power.
