The Hyundai DHY6000SE is one of the most popular sub 10kW standby diesel generators available on the market today. The compact size, clean power output and low noise make it a reliable source of backup electrical power for your business or home and is portable enough for field work.
RELIABLE HYUNDAI POWER
The DHY6000SE is powered by Hyundai's efficient, low emission, 4 stroke D420 10hp engine and produces 5.2kW of clean power to your home or business. The generator has 1 x 115V 16amp, 1x 115V 32amp and 1 x 230V 32amp sockets, allowing you to power a wide range of equipment.
It also benefits from a sophisticated AVR alternator which provides smooth, clean mains power so not only can it power the essentials but is also suitable for more sensitive electronic equipment such as TVs, computers and smartphones. The large 16 litre fuel tank can provide up to 16 hours of run time @ 50% load and the DHY6000 has the ability to run off red diesel making it even more cost effective.
EASE OF USE
The DHY6000SE features electric start and a convenient digital control panel which displays the frequency, voltage and total run time. The DHY6000SE backup power generator is compatible with an optional Automatic Transfer Switch kit (ATS) This will only work with our "KiT" that includes Digital signal receiver to allow the generator to pick up the signal from the ATS to turn on and off. An ATS will sense the power cut and automatically start the generator even if you're not around. Once the power has been restored, the ATS will again, automatically switch you back to mains power. The built in low oil alarm and automatic shutdown keep the generator safe during operation and ensure the engine is protected at all times.
HOUSEHOLD BACK UP
The DHY6000SE comes with a sound attenuated canopy to reduce overall noise levels making it suitable for domestic or low noise areas. The canopy has large, hinged access panels to make routine maintenance and inspection much easier and is mounted on wheels for ease of movement.

Hyundai Power Equipment is the trading name of Genpower Ltd. Genpower is the UK’s sole importer for Hyundai Power Equipment, including generators, water pumps and garden machinery.
Genpower was started in 2006, and a year later they were approached by Hyundai Corporation, Korea, and awarded the contract to become the sole importer for Hyundai Power Equipment for the United Kingdom. Genpower were chosen due to their profound knowledge, top machinery sales, expert engineering and maintenance support.
Hyundai Power Equipment portfolio began in in 2009 with petrol and diesel generators. Shortly after it expanded to include leisure inverter generators, air compressors, water pumps and pressure washers. In 2013 they introduced their range of petrol powered garden machinery to the UK, and since then Hyundai have built up a reputation with both domestic and professional users for their high quality, affordable products.
In 2015 Hyundai brought out their first 36v battery-powered garden machinery range. This battery-powered range includes a lawn mower, grass trimmer, hedge trimmer, pole saw and a chainsaw. All five products provide safe, clean and very green power.

Some generators may have an extended lead time and there's a possibility you may not receive your chosen generator next day. For urgent next day orders, please call us on 0345 222 0231 prior to placing your order and our team will confirm next day stock availability. This can vary on larger sets, these can take up to 5-7 working days. Please feel free to contact us before, or after ordering to check. If in doubt please call for a delivery time estimate. All deliveries are subject to availability. In the unlikely event of there being a delay we will contact you by email. Delivery is normally between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm weekdays (Monday to Friday).
Please Note: Some large canopy generators will require an offload facility at delivery destination, such as a forklift or other form of lifting equipment.
