This redesigned model has a slimmer case which allows you to store it in your car boot or caravan cupboard, as well as a molded handle which makes it easy to carry with a lightweight design of just 20kg. This smaller case is made possible due to the compact inverter board which is brand new for Hyundai inverter generators. It also features a full LED display which makes it easy to monitor the performance of the generator, including the voltage, frequency and hour count.

Using pure sine wave technology, which enables safe use of electronic equipment such as laptops, lighting and mobile phone chargers, this 2kW generator produces clean and smooth power.
It’s powered by the Hyundai HX125, a four-stroke 4.9hp recoil start petrol engine, and is designed as easy-to-start for maximum convenience. Already an economical unit, the HY2000Si also comes with an “ECO” setting, which allows the engine revs to be lowered when a small amount of energy is required. This not only increases the fuel efficiency and overall lifespan of the unit, but also reduces the sound produced when running.
As with other inverter generators in the Hyundai range, the HY2000Si benefits from a lightweight and compact design. Weighing in at only 28kg it can easily be transported with you on a holiday or trip and the compact design enables easy storage when not in use. Fixed on top of the unit is a moulded handle to make carrying the unit even easier.
As it produces 58dBA at 7 metres it’s a very quiet machine and won’t disturb any other campers around you. On the HY2000Si, the control panel features two UK 3-pin sockets for plugging into directly. There is a 12v DC battery charging outlet on the control panel as well, so it has a range of different options for powering a wide variety of items. It also comes with a fly lead which can plug directly into a caravan or motorhome's power input to provide power directly to the unit. Designed to be as convenient as possible, the Hyundai HY2000Si features digital overload protection as well as low oil shutdown, for times when a load may become too much for the generator to handle or oil levels drop below the required level. These safety features, combined with a 4.5 litre fuel tank which enables the HY2000Si to run for up to 9 hours, makes it an obvious choice for users who want reliable off-grid power.
Like all other Hyundai inverter generators, the HY2000Si can be converted to run on LPG, which is proving extremely popular with caravan users.

Hyundai Power Equipment is the trading name of Genpower Ltd. Genpower is the UK’s sole importer for Hyundai Power Equipment, including generators, water pumps and garden machinery.
Genpower was started in 2006, and a year later they were approached by Hyundai Corporation, Korea, and awarded the contract to become the sole importer for Hyundai Power Equipment for the United Kingdom. Genpower were chosen due to their profound knowledge, top machinery sales, expert engineering and maintenance support.
Hyundai Power Equipment portfolio began in in 2009 with petrol and diesel generators. Shortly after it expanded to include leisure inverter generators, air compressors, water pumps and pressure washers. In 2013 they introduced their range of petrol powered garden machinery to the UK, and since then Hyundai have built up a reputation with both domestic and professional users for their high quality, affordable products.
In 2015 Hyundai brought out their first 36v battery-powered garden machinery range. This battery-powered range includes a lawn mower, grass trimmer, hedge trimmer, pole saw and a chainsaw. All five products provide safe, clean and very green power.
